Bank of Hawaii, one of Hawaii’s largest banks, opened their newest branch on the ground floor of the Hokua condo. Bank of Hawaii consolidated their large branch on Ward Avenue down to be more in the middles of the area that they serve. It is a small space, but a nice position to make banking even more convenient for those living at the Hokua.

The Bank of Hawaii addition is evidence of the further transformation of the community. There are more shops and restaurants to be added over the coming years to make the Hokua an even more convenient location. Placed right in the middle of Ward Village and Ala Moana Center makes this a very walkable place to live.  Further transformations are coming! One of the bigger projects is the future Ewa end of Ala Moana Center. The large Sears store has closed and the entire end is being rebuilt which should be an excellent addition to the neighborhood.

Also look for the new Nordstrom Rack and Pier 1 stores to be opening soon across the street at Ward Village.
